“If we are to build a more decent society we need to ensure that there is fairness at work for all. Agency workers have sometimes worked for the same employer for years - but at a time of recession they are always the ones who are first out of the door, often without any redundancy pay. It is simply wrong that agency workers are paid less and have worse conditions for doing the same jobs as permanent staff.  I am delighted that the Prime Minister has promised legislation to outlaw this - I fully support the TUC’s campaign.”
