“As Labour Euro MPs we have been fighting to protect temporary agency workers. For too long there has been a two tier system in the workplace. Thanks to a new European law temporary agency workers can now expect equal pay and terms and conditions, including pension rights, paid leave, working time, access to employment, collective facilities and vocational training, health and safety and maternity leave. But until this law comes into force Britain’s 1.3 million temporary agency workers will still be treated as a second class workforce. That is why I am backing the Fairness for Temporary Agency Workers Now campaign.”
